About the Role

As a Marketing and Sales Representative for the Far East, you’ll be instrumental in driving our growth in this strategic region. You’ll be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and promoting our innovative services and products, including predictive maintenance, online condition monitoring systems, and advanced diagnostic measurements. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote work environment while effectively connecting with clients in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building and developing long-term business relationships with foreign customers primarily through virtual communication, with occasional, pre-planned business trips as needed.
  • Approaching and acquiring new clients within assigned territories, specifically focusing on Singapore and other Far East markets.
  • Evaluating and developing new marketing opportunities for Info-Marine’s services and products.
  • Promoting the company’s specialized services and products, proactively addressing and anticipating clients’ needs and objectives.
  • Preparing compelling sales offers and agreements, including skillful negotiations to secure successful partnerships.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, revenue, and invoices.
  • Providing trustworthy post-sales support and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Actively contributing to building Info-Marine’s brand awareness and enhancing our reputation in the market.
  • Collaborating closely with internal departments to optimize sales effectiveness and streamline processes.
  • Daily utilization of CRM systems to manage client interactions and sales pipelines efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in B2B sales and marketing, preferably within the marine, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the Far East market, with specific experience or knowledge of Singapore being highly advantageous.
  • Residency in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse international clients in a remote setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate effectively, and close deals independently.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional regional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Malay) is a significant plus.

About the Role

As a Data Management Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in enriching and maintaining our core technical database. You’ll be responsible for extracting critical machinery details from various sources, including machinery photos and technical documentation, and ensuring this data is accurately and consistently entered into our SQL database via our in-house software. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong technical comprehension, and a solid understanding of marine machinery and its operational parameters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately extract technical details about machinery, including machinery type, maker, model, bearing types, RPM, kilowatt (kW) ratings, and other details crucial for correct machinery condition analysis, from machinery photos and technical documentation.
  • Ensure consistency and standardization of technical details across different fleets within our database.
  • Input and update data efficiently and precisely into our SQL database using our proprietary in-house software.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and other engineering documentation to gather relevant machinery information.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to clarify data points and ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct regular data quality checks and perform necessary corrections to maintain database integrity.
  • Assist in developing and implementing best practices for data entry and management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with technical data, preferably in a database management or data entry role.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and machinery documentation.
