SHAPOLI system meeting EEXI
The Attained Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) of a ship indicates its energy efficiency in comparison to a baseline. These EEXI values are then evaluated against the required Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index, determined by an applicable reduction factor expressed as a percentage relative to the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) baseline.
Fuel Efficiency & Performance Monitoring System
It is known that by 2015, the sulfur content in fuels in SOx Emission Control Areas (SECA) is to be reduced from 1,5% to 0,1% (by almost 90%). The SECA are the Northern and Baltic seas, the English Channel, the waters adjacent to the west and east coasts of North America and to the Caribbean islands.
